About Our Olive Tree Program

Since 2012 we have planted Olive Trees all over Sicily and in 2021 will we be planting in Italy. We are the only tree planting program that exclusively plants in Italy and Sicily and offers the opportunity to visit your tree. Unlike other tree planting programs, that offer "Adoption Tree Packages" for a limited time, with our program, you OWN THE OLIVE TREE FOR LIFE, to be handed down for generations to come.

Your recipient will recognize and appreciate the thoughtful caring nature of this magnificent Italian gift olive tree planted in their ancestral homeland.

Your gift of a donation of an olive tree back to Sicily or Italy is, for many people, a completion of the circle of life started by a loved one who immigrated to America seeking a better life. Our trees are planted as part of a beautification project in Italy and Sicily in groves that we have selected with careful consideration. They are tended by generations of family farmers whose passion is the magnificent olive tree "The Tree of Life".

The tree will be planted in your name or in the name of a family, friend, loved one or to celebrate a milestone. Think of it … a return to the ancestral homeland. Your sponsorship of $229.95 plus shipping of the certificate is a one time cost that covers the purchase, planting, and maintenance of a wonderful and symbolic olive tree. It will forever remain in their name, unlike other memorial trees that are adopted for short lengths of time.

When you sponsor the purchases of a tree, you will receive a beautiful certificate of authenticity. If traveling to Italy or Sicily you the ability to locate your tree in one of several locations to arrange a visit in Sicily through You Me & Sicily, or when visiting Italy through our Italian partners.

We have choosen FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italia for our Italian charity and a donation is made when you plant an olive tree in Italy.

Since 1975, FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano, The National Trust for Italy, restores and takes care of historical and special places in Italy so that present and future generations from all over the world may enjoy a priceless legacy.

They are a non-profit foundation and their main goal is to protect Italian places promoting their knowledge, care and conservation. They take care of 64 special places in Italy and 31 of them are open to public and can be visited individually or in groups. Their properties are all places to experience, ideal starting points to discover and enjoy the traditions and beauties of Italy.

If a Sicilian Olive Tree is chosen, a portion of your sponsorship will be donated to The Sicilian Project. A 501-C3 tax exempt organization that raises funds from United States citizens and issues academic grants in Sicily. Part of the funds are used to teach the students how to speak, think and write the English language. We are also exploring grants for women involved in domestic abuse.
